BGT star faces jail after recording indecent clips of children on his mobile phone
Britain’s Got Talent finalist Leeroy Bailey could face jail after admitting child abuse images offences.
The 36-year-old dance teacher from Coventry entered a guilty plea to making indecent images of children at Warwick Crown Court today on what would have been the first day of his trial.
Bailey pleaded guilty to creating the indecent moving images of children on his mobile phone between January 1, 2014, and April 3, 2016.
Bailey, from Heera Close, Foleshill reached the final of popular TV show Britain’s Got Talent in 2007 as part of the Kombat Breakers dance act.
He entered five not guilty pleas to other charges concerning making indecent images of children which were accepted by the Crown Prosecution Service.
After watching the two videos in closed court, Recorder Alastair Smith said he believed it was necessary to adjourn the case for a full probation report to be prepared ahead of sentencing.
Recorder Smith told Bailey: “You have entered a guilty plea and it is important that any court that sentences you is in a position to fully understand the offence you have pleaded guilty to, and also the nature of that plea.
“I’m concerned that they might be further assisted in being satisfied by further evidence.”
He also told Bailey that “all sentencing options are open”.
The case was adjourned until November 3 and Bailey was granted unconditional bail.
