Top army officer guilty of downloading 698 indecent images of children while at Deepcut Barracks
A TOP Army officer has been found guilty of hoarding 698 indecent images of children.
Darren Corrie, 48, is Regimental Colonel of the Royal Logistic Corps and got an MBE in 2007
The married dad of two downloaded the images between 2014 and 2016 while at Deepcut barracks, Surrey.
Eight were Category A images, the worst kind.
Corrie, from Peterborough, who joined the Army at 16, was nabbed after his internet provider alerted the National Crime Agency.
Staines JPs gave him 60 hours’ community service and a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
He remains suspended on full pay pending a disciplinary hearing
