Pervert teacher had video of toddler being abused
A teacher’s international career is in ruins after police found two indecent videos of very young children on his computer.
Judge Paul Worsley QC told York Crown Court that Richard David Outhwaite came back to the UK voluntarily from Saudi Arabia where he was working when he heard about the police discovery at his UK home.
One of the videos show a toddler being raped, the other, which was 13 minutes long, showed a child aged three to six being sexually assaulted.
The 31-year-old former primary school teacher from Willow Croft, Upper Poppleton, pleaded guilty to having indecent videos of children on the day he was due to stand trial.
His barrister Glenn Parsons said his conviction would mean that it was highly unlikely he would be able to return to his job in Saudi Arabia and he now intends to be based in Scotland.
Outhwaite was given a ten-month prison sentence suspended for two years on condition he does two years’ supervision and 20 days’ rehabilitative activities.
He was also put on the sex offenders’ register and made subject to a sexual harm prevention order, both for ten years and ordered to pay £200 prosecution costs.
