Bangor child abuse images pervert jailed
A COMPUTER consultant who was caught with almost 11,500 images of children being sexually abused has been jailed for six months.
Judge Piers Grant said it was clear that 39-year-old Bangor man Peter Nesbitt had “disturbing” views about the sexualisation of children and ordered him to remain on licence for a further two years.
At Downpatrick Crown Court, Judge Grant ordered the father-to-be to stay on the police sex offenders’ register for 10 years and imposed a five year Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) which bars Nesbitt from working with children, having web devices which cannot be monitored and having unsupervised access to children.
He told the former grammar school pupil that by downloading the 11,337 images for his own sexual gratification, he was perpetuating the exploitation of children.
