Paedophile who sexually assaulted young girl after forging references to get nanny job in Bromley jailed
A paedophile who sexually assaulted a young girl after forging references to get a job as a nanny has been jailed for seven years.
Aaron McWilliams, 25, of no fixed address, was found guilty of sexual assault on a child aged under five years at Woolwich Crown Court on July 15 and was sentenced today at the same court.
McWilliams was employed as a nanny in the Bromley area after responding to an advertisement on Gumtree and used references that he later admitted were fake.
His victim told her mother that McWilliams had touched her sexually in March this year and he was immediately reported to police and arrested.
At the time, he was subject to a court order which prohibited him from having unsupervised contact with any child under 16, following a conviction for sexual assault on a child under 13 in Southwark in 2015.
McWilliams had pleaded guilty to six counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order (SHPO), in February and March 2017.
