Paedophile PC dismissed from force for making and distributing indecent photos of children
A Metropolitan Police constable has been dismissed from the force and put on the sex offenders register for making, distributing and possessing indecent images of children.
Grant Thomas of Hornchurch was attached to Met Training but was arrested om March 22 and pleaded guilty to multiple child pornography charges.
The 40-year-old former PC admitted three counts of making indecent photographs of children, two counts of distributing indecent photographs of children, one count of possessing extreme pornographic images and one count of publishing an obscene article.
Those include 698 category-A photos – the most serious kind portraying penetrative sexual & sadist activity on young children
The officer received two suspended sentences at Southwark Crown Court on Friday (August 4), for 18 months and two years, both suspended for two years and was placed on the sex offenders register.
He had been dismissed from the force at an internal Special Case Misconduct Hearing on June 16 after he had pleaded guilty to his crimes on May 5.
Thomas’ name will remain on the sex offender’s register for ten years.
