‘Predatory paedophile’ sentenced for sexual offences
A man who was described in court as a ‘predatory paedophile’ has been jailed for sexual offences against a young girl
Taxi driver Stephen Lewis from the Merthyr Tydfil area appeared in court 2 at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to the rape of a 13-year-old girl
Lewis was sentenced to a total of five years imprisonment.
He was also banned indefinitely from living at an address where anyone under 16 is present, seeking or being in the company of a convicted sex offender or communicating in any way with anyone under 16.
The defendant is prohibited from being alone with a child under 16 unless their parent or guardian is present, attending a club where children under 16 are present or refusing entry to a monitoring officer visiting his home to police the order.
Lewis will now have to sign on the sex offenders register for life.
