Ayr paedophile chef who lost his job has been spared a jail sentence
A paedophile chef who lost his job at a top island hotel after the Post alerted managers has been spared jail.
Michael Kelly had listed his bail address as staff accommodation at the Auchrannie in Brodick after admitting having a hoard of child porn images.
He is now living back in Ayr after flitting from the Arran escape.
In the past he worked at South Ayrshire hotels including the Brig O’ Doon in Alloway.
Last week he appeared at the town’s sheriff court to face his punishment.
Bearded Kelly, 33, was added to the sex offender’s register for three years and must undergo community supervision for the same period.
As well as community supervision the Sheriff ordered him to complete the Moving Forward Making Changes programme.
At an earlier hearing the pervert pled guilty to taking or permitting to be taken or making indecent photographs of children between July 1, 2013 and September 29, 2016.
He previously lived in Main Street in Minishant.

A man has been caught in possession of images of child sexual abuse
Chef Michael Scott Kelly, 33-years-old of Auchrannie Resort, Isle of Arran appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to the possession of over 2100 indecent images of children.
Bearded Kelly was released on bail while social work reports are prepared on him.
The court heard that on the 29th September 2016, police officers in possession of a search warrant went to Kelly’s then home address in Main Road, Minishant
A computer belonging to Kelly was seized and was later found to contain over 2100 indecent images of children. The majority of the images related to young girls.
He will return for sentencing on the 22nd August
