Man admits buying child abuse images
A Faversham man bought images of child sexual abuse from an international dealer living in North Yorkshire.
Mark Burford, of Hazebrouck Road, admitted six counts of possession of indecent images at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court last Friday.
The 34-year-old was arrested after officers from North Yorkshire tipped off Kent Police following a raid on the home of a man who had sold dozens of category A images, which showed children between the ages of four and eight being raped, to 51 other paedophiles across the world.
Burford was released on conditional bail not to have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 and will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be decided.
