Monkton pervert who forced young girls to watch porn videos avoids prison sentence
A twisted pervert who forced young girls to watch porn videos – and laughed when they begged him to stop – has avoided a prison sentence.
David Brown, 36, was found guilty of four separate charges of intentionally causing the youngsters to look at sexual images last month.
The court had previously heard how his actions were a “serious and sinister course of conduct on his part”.
And one mum told how her terrified daughter has been having nightmares of being raped.
But sick Brown, of Coronation Street, Monkton, Ayrshire walked out of court when he appeared for sentencing last week.
He will be subject to 18 months of supervision, and his name has been added to the sex offenders’ register for the same length of time.
Depute fiscal Stephen McLean previously told how Brown was semi-naked while alone with the children in February.
He played tag with them in the dark at 3am as well as accessing online porn sites and showing explicit videos to the girls, aged 10 and 11.
Two of his victims bravely took to the stand to reveal Brown’s sick antics, after they first confessed what had happened to a school teacher.
Sheriff Mhari Mactaggart said of the girls: “I believed what they said and I could rely on what they said.”
He had also been accused of making sexual remarks at girls aged 10 and 11
Three young girls were forced to watch porn by a “sinister” pervert during a nightmare sleepover weekend.
David Brown, 36, is now on the sex offenders’ register after being found guilty of four charges of making the 10 and 11 year-olds watch sex videos.
Two of the children reported Brown’s behaviour to school teachers on the Monday when they got a lesson on Internet safety. One victim felt she was being “groomed”, the court heard.
One of their horrified mums said: “It has been awful. My daughter has been having nightmares of being raped.”
Depute fiscal Stephen McLean told Ayr Sheriff Court last week that Brown was semi- naked while alone with the children and played tag with them in the dark at 3am at a address in South Ayrshire in February.
One victim, aged 11, told how Brown started laughing when she asked him to switch off the film, which flashed up indecent sexual images with filthy language.
Mr McLean repeated her statement to the court: “I never saw anything or heard any words like that before. I asked him to put it off. He didn’t. He started laughing to himself. I knew something was not right. I wanted to go home and see my mum.”
Another teen aged 11 described the sexually explicit scenes as “not stuff for children to watch”, according to Mr McLean.
The fiscal branded Brown’s crime as a “serious and sinister course of conduct on his part”.
Brown, of Coronation Street, Monkton, accessed free porn site Hamster and YouTube for the adult material.
He denied all six charges against him – and two of his victims bravely took to the stand to describe their ordeal.
After adjourning for consideration, Sheriff Mhairi Mactaggart found Brown guilty of causing two girls, aged 10 and 11, to watch a sex video overnight between Friday, February 3, and the following day.
The sheriff also found him guilty of making the girls, watch a video containing sexual images and remarks the next night, between Saturday, Febraury 4 and Sunday,
Commenting on the girl’s evidence, Sheriff Mactaggart said: “I believed what they said and I could rely on what they said.”
Brown was also accused of making sexual remarks to two of the youngsters but both charges were found not proven.
He will be sentenced later this month
