‘Vile’ pervert who abused three girls is jailed for four years
A pervert from Plymouth who sexually abused three young girls has been jailed as the mother of two of his victims branded him a “vile monster”.
Evil Nigel Collier, aged 59, repeatedly touched the children indecently after luring them away from their parents, a court heard.
He often abused them in his bedroom in his former city home after letting them play on his computer.
Collier told the girls to keep his sick acts a secret and even told one victim that his deep kissing on her mouth was “how they kissed in Australia”.
The mother of two sisters he abused told the court in a harrowing statement read out at Plymouth Crown Court that he was a “vile, evil, manipulative monster”.
She revealed that her youngest daughter had begun to self-harm by biting herself.
The woman said she was an “empty shell” wracked by feelings of guilt that she could not protect her children.
She added: “The future is very uncertain and the girls will be living with their own life sentence each and every day for the rest of their lives.
He has taken away their innocence and deprived them of the childhood they deserved and the future I had hoped for them.”
Jailing former soldier Collier for four years, Judge Ian Lawrie said: “You have scarred your young victims and their families for life.”
He added that Collier had manipulated situations to get the girls away from their parents.
Collier, whose address was recorded as a bed and breakfast near the Hoe, pleaded guilty to 11 offences of sexual assault on girls aged under 13 between last August and March this year.
Jason Beal, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said Collier kissed the girls inappropriately and touched them indecently under their clothing.
He told the girls to keep what he did a secret.
But the older girls told their parents what had happened and one of the children showed her how had kissed her
