Jail for man who abused young girls over a 45-year period

A 71-year-old man who sexually abused three young girls over a 45-year period in Gloucester has been jailed for six years.

Ibrahim Goga, formerly of Gloucester but now of Manor Park, Urmston, Manchester, pleaded guilty to two sex offences against each of the girls.

He admitted two charges of gross indecency with one girl, one of gross indecency and one of indecent assault against a second girl and two of sexual assault of a third girl.

Jailing Goga for a total of six years Judge Michael Cullum told him: “You should have gone to prison when you abused your first victim. But you were not reported at that time.

“There is bound to be concern about your future behaviour because three times you have abused very young victims over a long period of time.”

The judge imposed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order. He also ordered Goga to sign the sex offender register for the rest of his life.
