Paedophile sentenced to nine years
A paedophile from Glasgow has been sentenced to nine years after he was found guilty of sexually abusing two young girls
Justin Beau Graham, 33, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court after he had previously pleaded guilty to:
Sexual assault by penetration of a child under 13 – (5-year sentence)
Sexual assault of a child under 13 (4-year sentence)
The two victims were aged eight and twelve years old
The court heard that Graham had sexually assaulted one child while they sat and watched a Christmas film together.
That offence took place at a flat on Govan Road, on the 15th December, 2015
The young girl said that Graham had unzipped her onesie and began touching her private parts making them sore. She also claimed the Graham had asked her to touch his private parts but she had refused to do this.
Graham’s long term partner (not related to either of the victims) claimed that the children were lying, calling them attention seekers
Graham denied all the charges, which forced the young victims to give evidence.
He was later found guilty by a jury
As well as the eight year prison sentence, Graham was told that he would have a further three years on licence
He was also given lifelong restrictions, which would not allow him unsupervised access or contact with children aged under 16
When released from prison, Graham would be required to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely.
