Jail for paedophile who abused two young girls

A Nottingham man who sexually abused two young children has been sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison.

Craig Pike admitted sexually touching the girls between 2007 and 2011 on around four occasions.

He pleaded guilty to one count of indecent assault and three counts of sexual assault at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, May 30.

The 39-year-old, of Harwill Crescent in Aspley, was sentenced on Friday, June 2 to 42 months in prison and was also given a sexual harm prevention order which includes preventing him from storing digital images and having unsupervised contact with children.

He was ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for an indefinite period and a restraining order was also issued.

Police were first alerted to Pike when one of the victims came forward around eight years after the offences had happened.

He had originally denied the allegations but pleaded guilty due to the strength of the evidence against him.
