Pervert sentenced for possessing 2,000 child sex abuse images and videos
A pervert has got off with a community order after he made around 2,000 indecent images and movies of children.
Neil Fraser Clegg, 59, of Allington Close, Taunton, admitted four counts of child pornography when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.
Clegg’s computer had 330 of the most extreme Category A images and movies; 757 category B images and movies; and 858 Category C ones. He also admitted possessing 53 prohibited images and movies.
He was handed a community order, put on a sex offender treatment programme and ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work for the community within the next 12 month.
He will be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for five years and can only access the internet on a device that retains and displays the history of internet use and he must make it available for inspection by the police on request.
He was ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs, while his computer equipment will not be returned.
