Barsham man jailed after indecent images found on 10-year-old’s mobile phone
A 23-year-old Suffolk man who got a 10-year-old schoolgirl to send him naked pictures of herself after getting to know her through an online computer game has been jailed for five years.
Sentencing Jamie Forrester, Judge Rupert Overbury said the defendant had a “predatory interest” in young females.
Forrester, of Barsham, near Beccles, admitted three offences of inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity in December 2015 and in addition to being jailed for five years he was given a four year extended licence period.
He was also made the subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
Andrea Lock, prosecuting at Ipswich Crown Court, said the offences came to light after the victim’s mother found indecent pictures of her daughter on her mobile phone.
