Suffolk man jailed for indecent images of children as young as nine months old
A Framlingham man who became addicted to child porn and downloaded 12,000 indecent images of children has been jailed for 20 months.
Police officers acting on information raided Nicholas Zagni’s home in December 2025 and seized five devices, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
When the equipment was analysed it was found to contain more than 1,300 images in the most serious level A category, 8,453 in category B and 2,226 in the lowest level C category.
Peter Gair, prosecuting, told the court that some of the images featured babies aged nine to 12 months and toddlers aged 18 to 24 months as well as other children aged between four and 14.
Zagni, 39, of Fairfield Crescent, Framlingham, admitted 11 offences of making indecent images of children and one charge of possession of images.
In addition to being jailed he was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for the same period and ordered to pay a £100 victim surcharge.
Sentencing him, Judge Martyn Levett said Zagni, who has no previous convictions, had an unhealthy interest in children.
He said some of the images were of very young children and the abuse they were subjected to would be “described as torture by decent-minded people”.
He said Zagni had used search terms to look for child sexual abuse images and movies and had deliberately downloaded images.
