Sexual predator from Rochdale showered girl with gifts and compliments before assaulting her
A sexual predator who showered a schoolgirl with gifts before sexually assaulting her during a night away in London has been jailed.
Mahmood Ahmed, 50, of Rochdale, was caged for 20 months at Minshull Street Crown Court after pleading guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of sexual assault.
The court heard how Ahmed, now of HMP Manchester, but who previously lived in the Newbold area of Rochdale, showered the victim with compliments and bought her gifts, including clothes, make-up and a mobile phone.
Over a number of months he continually made sexual advances towards her, including kissing her and offering money in return for a massage.
He then took the victim away for the night to London where he sexually assaulted her.
As part of his sentence he was also handed a 10 year sexual harm prevention order.
