Vile perv who collected videos of kids as young as FOUR being raped jailed
A vile Scottish pervert who collected videos of kids as young as FOUR being raped has been jailed.
Martyn Ryrie, 32, had 50 clips of shocking scenes stored on two laptops at his former home.
The computers were seized when cops staged a morning raid on the Larbert property acting on information they’d been given.
Stirling Sheriff Court heard how dad-of-two Ryrie was detained, along with the mum of his young kids, who also had access to the machines.
But she was exonerated when it was found that some of the videos had been downloaded while she was away, and twisted Ryrie had even watched one of the clips while she was in hospital giving birth to their youngest child.
The couple separated after he was exposed, and she has moved away and changed the children’s names, the court was told earlier this week.
Sarah Lumsden, prosecuting, said that all but one of the videos were classified as “category A” child sexual abuse images – the most serious kind involving penetrative sex acts and torture performed on children by men.
Miss Lumsden said: “The victims shown were girls aged 10, 11, 12 and 13, but there was one four year old and one six year old.
“There’s no sadomasochism, but the rape of children is necessarily violence.
“Searches had been carried out for ‘young girls hardcore’ and ‘pre-teen incest’ and the material had been downloaded from a file-sharing site.”
The court heard Ryrie, who lost his job in the banking industry and home after he was charged, was now living in a shared flat in socially-deprived Wester Hailes, Edinburgh.
He pleaded guilty to downloading child porn at his former home in Larbert, over a five year period between March 17, 2011 and May 19, 2016, when the cops raid occurred.
He was jailed for nine months, plus a 27-month extension during which he can be recalled to prison if he re-offends.
He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
Sheriff William Gilchrist told him: “The number of identified images is not particularly high, but they were all bar one Category A, which is the most serious category, and this had been going on for five years.
“I’m satisfied that a custodial sentence is inevitable.”
Ryrie, who had earlier arrived at court alone, burst into tears as he was handcuffed to a security guard and led to the cells.
The banking institution for which Ryrie worked was not named.
