Torquay man, 33, admits downloading child abuse pictures
A man from Torbay has admitted downloading more than 800 child abuse images.
Adam Blatchford, aged 33, of Garth Road, Torquay, admitted three counts of making indecent images of children when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
He admitted having 136 still images at the worst level, category A, 187 at category B and 526 at the lowest category C.
Judge Philip Parker, QC, adjourned his case for a probation report. He granted him bail but told him all sentencing options remain open, including jail.
Miss Janise Eagles, prosecuting, said she will be applying for a Sexual Harm Prevention Order because there was evidence that Blatchford had been in contact with a 12-year-old girl in a chat room.
She said there was evidence he had sent links to other internet users but this did not amount to distribution.
