Update: Davies was sentenced to a total of six years
Brynteg man must register as sex offender for “wicked” acts with girl
A pervert has been ordered to register with the police as a sex offender after he was convicted of “wicked” sex acts with a little girl.
Michael Lee Davies, 38, of Holborn Crescent in Brynteg denied three charges of indecent assault and two charges of inciting her to commit an act of gross indecency upon him.
But he was convicted by the jury at Mold Crown Court.
Judge Niclas Parry ordered him to register with the police as a sex offender.
He bailed him pending sentence so that a pre-sentence report could be prepared by the probation service.
But the judge told him: “You will understand that you face an inevitable custodial sentence.
“This was a wicked, wicked thing that you did.”
The nature of the offences meant that it was right that he should be assessed before sentence took place, the judge explained.
He thanked the jury for dealing with such an unpleasant case but said: “We cannot choose the cases we try.”
Mark Connor, prosecuting, told how the girl was aged under ten at the time.
The charges were specimen counts of repeated behaviour by the defendant, he said.
The court heard that he would bend her over and simulate sex on her.
The offences then became more serious when he got her to indulge in an indecent act upon him
