Man avoids jail after admitting making and distributing child abuse images
A man has avoided jail after admitting making and distributing child abuse images.
Peter Collins, 53, appeared at Teesside Crown Court via video link from Holme House prison charged with three counts of making indecent images of children between 2006 and 2016.
The offences related to 159 pictures of children, at varying levels of seriousness, found on four exhibits.
He also faced a further charge of distributing an indecent photograph of a child in March last year as well as a charge of possessing a hunting knife in Redcar on February 16.
Recorder Andrew Sutcliffe QC sentenced Collins, of Pease Court, Lingdale , to two years in prison suspended for two years.
He was also ordered to undertake 35 rehabilitation activity days and was put on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
Pervert given jail warning over indecent photos
A MAN who admitted possessing dozens of indecent photos of children was told by a judge the offences nearly always carry a jail sentence.
Peter Collins, of Pease Court, Lingdale, east Cleveland, admitted three charges of making indecent photos, 159 in total, dating up to March last year.
He also admitted a single charge of distributing indecent photographs of children.
