Loughborough paedophile jailed for sexual assaults on nine-year-old girl
A 66-year-old Loughborough man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old girl.
Geoffrey Skinner, of Foxcote Drive, Loughborough, committed the offences between 1994 and 1997.
He admitted four counts of sexual assault against a child under 13 and at Northampton Crown Court on Monday he was given a two-year jail sentence, with an extended licence period of 12 months after the two years are up.
On sentencing, the judge spoke of the impact the assaults had on the victim’s life, which he said had been blighted as a result. He praised her bravery for coming forward.
The offences were committed when Skinner lived in Northampton.
