Pervert faces prison after downloading images & movies of child abuse
A man has been warned he is facing jail after he downloaded a stash of indecent images of children as well as having extreme pornographic pictures.
Cameron Stott, 22, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted downloading indecent images or pseudo photos of children between September 28, 2015, and February 11, 2016.
He was also found to have extreme pornographic material of adults on January 12 this year.
The court heard he had 518 indecent images of children and 257 videos.
He also had 120 extreme pornographic pictures and 62 videos.
The offences were detected after police received intelligence that indecent images of children had been downloaded from a dropbox device which led them to Stott.
Sheriff William Summers told Stott that he would be sentenced next month and he would be subject to the notification requirements of the sex offences act.
Stott, whose address was given in court papers as Fulmar Court, Newtonhill, was told by Sheriff Summers there was a “significant likelihood” he would be jailed.
