An Oxford rapist is ‘where he belongs’ after he was convicted of child sex offences last week.
Paul Wells, 45, from High Street, Beckley, was found guilty of a number of sex offences with children by a unanimous jury at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday last week after a seven-day trial.
He was found guilty of eight offences of sexual activity with a child, one count of rape of a female aged 15 and under and two counts of making indecent photographs of a child.
The offences took place in Oxfordshire between 2011 and 2013 and involved two girls aged under 16.
He will be sentenced on November 18 at the same court.
Det Con Kelly Gilbert of the child abuse investigation unit said: “I am so pleased with the outcome of this trial. Finally Wells is where he belongs and the girls in this case can try to move forward with their lives.”
