Family doc caught with ‘stash’ of snake porn dodges jail

A DISGRACED family doctor who had a stash of extreme pornography – including a video of a man having sex with a snake – has been spared jail.

GP Dr Cyprian Okoro, 55, stored the images on his mobile phone after receiving them via messaging app WhatsApp.

He was found guilty three counts of possessing extreme pornography and one count of possessing indecent images of a child earlier this month.

He was told by Judge Richard Hone QC he had “betrayed the high standards of conduct required by this profession” as he gave him a six month suspended sentence.

The videos were described as “grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise obscene character”.

They featured women having sex with a dog, a man having sex with a snake and a woman having sex with a horse, the court heard.

He also had an indecent video of a two-year-old boy, which was among images moved from his picture gallery into a password-protected “vault” storage app on his phone.

At the trial he was cleared of two charges of possessing videos of a woman having sex with dogs.

Okoro, of Streatham, south London, had originally denied five charges of possessing extreme pornography and one of possessing an indecent image of a child.

He said he didn’t watch the indecent footage and said he thought it was a “jokey” video and because it had been sent via whatsapp it would automatically go into his photo gallery.

But the prosecution said as the videos had been manually moved to the vault, the prosecution said it was clear he had viewed it.

At that sentencing he was also ordered carry out 200 hours of unpaid work to sign the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.

He has also been ordered to carry out an internet sex offenders programme.
