Paedophile jailed for seven years after filming himself abusing girl
Perverted Mihaly Kocsis has been jailed for seven years after he filmed himself carrying out sex attacks on a child.
The 59-year-old Hungarian national shot footage of himself assaulting the girl.
His crimes came to light after his actions were reported to the police.
And when officers raided his home in Milton Street, Shelton, they discovered the films, along with 1,944 indecent images and extreme pornographic photographs on his mobile phone and laptops.
Now the defendant is today starting a seven-year jail term after being sentenced at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.
Prosecutor Simon Blakebrough said Kocsis was first interviewed last December.
He added: “There was footage of a girl on a bed, where she was either naked or with some clothes on. The defendant sexually assaulted her.
“There are spoken words on the video recording.
“The defendant was asked in general terms whether he abused the child and about what was on the phones and computer. He made no comment. He was asked again and made no comment.”
Kocsis – who has no previous convictions or cautions – went on to plead guilty to two charges of sexual activity with a child, four counts of making indecent photographs of children and one of possessing extreme pornographic images.
Liz Copper, defending, said: “He accepts culpability and has done so through his early guilty plea.
“The consequences of these offences are that he has lost many things including his wife, his home and his job.”
Judge David Fletcher told the court the images were ‘undoubtedly’ produced by Kocsis.
Jailing the defendant, Judge Fletcher told him: “You have plumbed the depths of sexual deviance. It takes a great deal to shock somebody like me, but I have been shocked.
“If you were only charged with one count that would be six years imprisonment. The production of images are an aggravating factor.
“There is little in the pre-sentence report that gives me any optimism that you will change but I hope that will in the time you’re in custody.”
Kocsis was also made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order with no end date.
