Solicitor who made indecent images of children sentenced
A solicitor has been sentenced for making indecent photos of children.
Edward Proffitt, 43, of Beatrice Road, Norwich, received a three-year community order after he admitted two counts of making indecent photographs of children between October 2010 and January 2012.
Proffitt appeared for sentencing at Cambridge Crown Court on August 12 after having previously admitted the offences.
He was also given three years supervision, ordered to undertake an alcohol treatment programme for six months as well as an internet sex offenders treatment programme.
The court also ordered he be made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the next five years and he was put on the sex offenders register for five years.
