Pervert admits collecting 100’s of indecent images of children

A NORTH Yorkshire man has admitted collecting hundreds of indecent images of children.

Ernest Teasdale, of Camellia Close, Norton, near Malton, appeared before York Crown Court on Monday, charged with making 570 indecent images of children over a period of about ten years.

The images, which the court heard were created on or before March 24 this year, included 233 of the most serious categories of images.

Teasdale, 35, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images, and guilty on a basis of plea to three further counts of distributing 124 indecent images of children.

The court heard 77 of of the images distributed were of the most serious category.

Judge Paul Batty QC said the Crown Prosecution Service must indicate by September 30 whether Teasdale’s plea would be accepted, in which case he will be sentenced next month.

If not, a fact-finding trial will take place. Teasdale was ordered to sign the sex offender’s register, and is next due before the court in October.
