Pervert found with 6,000 indecent images of children after police raided his home

PERVERT David Little was caught with thousands of indecent images of children after police carried out a raid on his home.

Officers searched the 37-year-old’s Biddulph house after receiving a tip off.

They discovered 6,261 still pictures – including one of a child tied up – and 216 moving images.

Now Little, of Church Road, has been handed an eight-month jail term suspended for 11 months.

He was also placed on the Sex Offenders’ register for five years.

Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard police searched his address on May 7, 2014.

Timothy Sapwell, prosecuting, said: “The majority of items on the devices had been deleted and were described as being ‘inaccessible’ but were still on the machines.

“He said he had an interest in teenage pornography and admitted that anything found on the devices would be his.

“There were thousands of images and in each there is an individual victim – a real life victim.”

The average age of the youngsters was estimated at being between 14 and 15.

Of the still images, 452 were at category A – the most serious – while there were 401 at B and 5,408 at C.

Little later pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent photographs of children.

Passing a sentence which allowed Little to retain his Australian visa, Recorder Andrew Easteal said: “I want to make it absolutely clear, were it not for the mitigating factors the correct and only sentence would be to send you to prison immediately.

“You have looked at images and videos which depict children, and keeping in mind the average age of these children, it is still desperately serious.

“Keep in mind the person responsible for the abuse you were looking at is you.

“You provide the market and the incentive for those children to be abused.

“It is your responsibility and those images would not be there if not for you.”

Little was also made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.
