Pervert Thomas Murphy exposed himself to girls and women up to 40 times
A father-of-two from Shalford has been found guilty of indecently exposing himself to girls and women who saw him standing naked at windows at his home.
Thomas Murphy, 41, of Church End, had denied the allegations but was convicted by a jury at Ipswich Crown Court.
The prosecution had alleged that Murphy had exposed himself up to 40 times, sometime after drawing attention to himself by coughing or shutting a window loudly.
The jury had heard claims by witnesses that they saw Murphy perform a sex act in full view of them on more than one occasion.
Murphy was found guilty to six offences of engaging in a sexual act in the presence of a child and two offences of exposure.
Giving evidence, Murphy claimed the women and girls who lodged complaints about him had been mistaken in what they saw or had made up the allegations.
Three schoolgirls and two women had complained to police about Murphy exposing himself on occasions between July 2014 and June last year.
The fathers of two of the girls had confronted Murphy about what their daughters said they had seen which led to police officers arresting Murphy on July 2 last year, the court heard.
Murphy claimed that at the time of the alleged offences he had not been the only man at the house as workmen were on the premises building a conservatory.
Judge David Goodin told Murphy that he would be sentenced once a pre-sentence report had been compiled by the Probation Service.
Murphy will remain on bail until his next court appearance.
