Tower Hamlets paedophile pressurised girl, 12, into making explicit video then sent it to her friends
An illegal immigrant who pressurised a 12-year-old girl into making an explicit video of herself before he sent the film on to her friends has been jailed for nine years.
Samuel David Lopez Florez, 25, of Solebay Street, Tower Hamlets, was jailed today at Snaresbrook Crown Court after he admitted inciting a child under 13 years of age to commit a sexual act, causing a child under 13 years of age to watch a sexual image, and to possessing counterfeit identity documents.
During August and September 2015, Florez sent his victim, a 12-year-old girl, a friend request via a video chat application.
Florez had a user profile of “samufc”, and had told the victim that his name was Samuel Davids and that he was 25-years-old.
The victim accepted his request, which allowed Florez to view and have access to her personal friends list.
He began to bombard the girl with indecent messages, pressurising her into making an explicit video of herself, which he them ordered her to send to him.
Florez, who told the victim that he lived in London, but did not specify where, also sent videos to the victim of himself performing a sex act.
The investigation came to light when the girl became distressed with the situation and told Florez that she was breaking off contact.
He then became threatening, and told his victim that he would send a video of her to all of her school peers, who he had accessed through her video chat friends list.
“Samuel Davids” had already sent several other friend requests to the victim’s friends, who had accepted the requests believing him to be her friend.
The threats to the victim continued and eventually a video was sent to her friends via the video application, which caused her significant alarm and distress.
He also sent various explicit images and conversations to the other children, with eight different girls who are all currently studying at Year Eight school level coming forward with allegations to date.
Staffordshire Police initially led the investigation and submitted a number of devices from the victim and others for forensic examination.
Examination of the video chat account and the material sent to the victim led officers to an address in east London, and further email addresses that had been used were also traced back to the Florez’s address.
Working with partner agencies, detectives from the Met’s Sexual Exploitation and Child Abuse Command identified “Samuel Davids” as Samuel David Lopez Florez.
Florez was arrested and broke down during interview, admitting the offences against the 12-year-old victim.
On Friday, February 5 he was charged with inciting a child to commit a sexual act, causing a child to watch a sexual video, possession of a counterfeit Italian identity card and possession of a counterfeit Spanish passport, and was remanded in custody.
Florez – a Mexican national – was also found to be an illegal immigration over-stayer, whose visa had run out in January 2015, six months after he had arrived in the UK.
He appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, March 4 where he entered a guilty plea and was remanded in custody to appear for sentencing.
