Pervert ex-soldier jailed after persuading girls to send him naked pictures

Ex-soldier Lee Hill was jailed after he admitted preying on two Scottish schoolgirls.

The 34-year-old dad-of-three contacted the girls – aged 12 and 13 – via the BBM smartphone app and persuaded them to send him naked pictures.

“It is not clear how they first started to communicate with each other,” Colonel Nigel Jones, prosecuting, told a court martial.

“The police in Scotland were tipped off about it and contacted the Royal Military Police.

“Hill, a private soldier, was stationed in Fallingbostel, Germany, with the 3rd Battalion of The Mercian Regiment at the time and he was arrested the same day.

“The chat between Hill and the girls was sexually explicit.”

Col Jones told the court martial in Colchester, Essex, the 13-year-old sent Hill explicit selfies.

“She was spoken to by the police in Scotland and told them it was just like having sex and that he had sent her pictures of his penis,” said Col Jones.

The 12-year-old also sent him naked photos.

When the Service police raided Hill’s accommodation in Fallingbostel they discovered he’d also been downloading indecent images of children from the internet.

Hill, an Afghanistan veteran, admitted various child sexual abuse images charges.

Defence barrister Audrey Archer said: “He is ashamed and embarrassed and is sorry for the devastating impact this has had on his parents.

“His long-term partner ended their relationship and he no longer has access to his two-year-old twins and three-year-old son.

“He is heartbroken and remorseful for the way he has behaved.”

Hill was jailed for four years and will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.
