February 2015: Dinsdale was released, but within a few weeks, he was jailed again, this time for 8-weeks for breaking the conditions of his sexual offences prevention order.
Pervert had indecent images of young boys
A pervert has been jailed after he admitted five counts of making and possessing over a hundred indecent images and videos of children.
Unemployed Leon Dinsdale, 27 of Wythenshawe was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to 12-months in prison.
The court was told that within Dinsdale’s stash of images and videos were some rated at the worst category A – which showed children being raped by adults.
Almost all of the indecent images showed boys aged from around eight to twelve years old.
Police seized and analysed his computer and found that he had not only used terms to seek the images and videos, but he had also looked for ways on how to hide his perversion.
Dinsdale was brought to the attention of UK police, by their counterparts in America who suspected he was grooming and enticing young boys to engage in sexual activity over the internet, by posing as a 14-year-old girl on a chat site. However no charges were proceeded with for this offence
The judge made a sexual-harm prevention order restricting Dinsdale’s internet activities, which will be monitored by police and prevent him deleting his search history.
He is not permitted to cause or allow a child aged under 16 years old to enter in or remain at a place of his residence, without supervision.
He must also not communicate via the internet, messaging services or social media with any young person known or believed to be aged under 16-years-old.
As well as the prison sentence, Dinsdale was told he must register as a sex offender for a period of 10-years.
