Man put on sex offenders register for texts to schoolgirl

A Buckhaven man has been placed on the sex offenders register after he was caught sending sexual texts to a schoolgirl.

At Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, Jamie Small of Wellesley Road was also ordered to complete 140 hours of unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to the offence

Small admitted that in April at Forth view house, Cupar road, Bonnybank, he intentionally sent sexualised texts to a schoolgirl who he knew was underage.

Small was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with anyone aged under 16-years-old, to live in approved accommodation and to allow the monitoring of all computer, mobile phone and electrical equipment that could access the internet.

He was told he must register as a sex offender for a period of two years.
