Manhunt for child sex offender who may be using Britain’s canal network to evade police
POLICE are hunting for a child sex offender who may be using the Britain’s canal system to move through the country.
Michael Crabb, 53, was jailed for nine years for child sex offences and released from jail on licence on March 17.
He has failed to notify police of a change of address – a condition of his release – and disappeared.
In the past he has been known to seek refuge on barges.
Crabb was last seen in Uxbridge, Middlesex, on the day of his release – almost three months ago.
By failing to notify a change of address he is in breach of those conditions and now wanted for recall to prison.
Detectives are warning the public not to approach Crabb – who has links to Uxbridge, Iver, Slough and Warwickshire – and call 999 immediately if he is seen
