Jail for pervert that sexually abused two underage girls

A pervert who abused two underage girls in Kilwinning, Irvine and Dreghorn has been locked up.

Scott Povah, 32, used lewd and libidinous practices towards the two girls, aged 12 and 15, on various occasions between March 2002 and June 2003.

He firstly sexually assaulted one of the girls, then aged 15, on various occasions between March 1, 2002 and June 14, 2003.

Kilmarnock Sheriff Court heard previously how Povah repeatedly kissed and handled the girl’s body, repeatedly inducing the girl to touch him as well as touching the girl’s private parts.

The sick attacks were carried out at addresses in all three towns as well as at the Magnum Leisure Centre.

Between June 1, 2002 and December 14 that year, Povah repeatedly entered the bedroom of a 12-year-old girl in Kilwinning.

The court heard how Povah repeatedly handled the girl’s legs before repeatedly placing his hands inside her underwear and groping her.

Povah, whose most recent address was Carlin Terrace, Londonderry, carried out similar attacks towards the same girl between December 15, 2002 and March 31, 2003

After standing trial in January, Povah was found guilty of committing the sex attacks.

He returned to Kilmarnock Sheriff Court for sentencing last week. He was ordered to serve 18 months in prison.

Pervert found guilty of abusing two schoolgirls

A man has been found guilty of child sexual abuse in Irvine, Kilwinning and Dreghorn.

Scott Povah, 32 was charged with using lewd and libidinous practices towards two underage ages on various occasions between 2002 and 2003

The court heard that he sexually assaulted one of the schoolgirls on various occasions.

These attacks occurred in all three towns including Irvines Magnum leisure centre

In 2002, Povah repeatedly entered the bedroom of a 12-year-old girl in Kilwinning, where he sexually assaulted her.

Povah of Carlin Crescent in Londonderry was found guilty of committing the same offences against the same girl between 2002 and 2003

After standing trial at Kilmarnock Crown Court last week, Povah was found guilty of all the above charges.

He was ordered to return to the same court in February for sentencing
