An Ashby flasher who indecently exposed himself to young girls as they made their way to school has been jailed for a total of four months by Scunthorpe magistrates.
The sentence came after Martin Jephson (34) admitted two specimen charges of indecent exposure and two offences of causing intentional harassment.
Andrew Horner, prosecuting, said that late last year the police received a number of reports about a man indecently exposing himself in the West Common lane area of town.
The complainants – both young girls – also told police of other ‘bizarre behaviour’
One girl said she was walking to school one morning in late December when a car drew up beside her and the she saw the driver simulating an act with a sex aid.
Police sent an undercover female police officer to the area on the morning of December 14 when three further incidents were reported.
The first involved a 15-year-old girl walking to school with two female friends who saw Jephson with his jeans unzipped and urinating.
Another girl said she also saw a man committing a similar offence.
The third incident involved a schoolgirl walking a woodland path. She was approached by a male from behind, who said: “do you want some?” and “is it big enough?”
When Jephson was arrested a sex aid was found in a search of his home.
