Sunderland pervert jailed after being caught with sickening child abuse photos and videos
A pervert who kept his freedom after being caught with a ‘depraved’ collection of images of child abuse has been jailed for having another sickening haul.
Christopher Hutchinson was found with 174 illegal photographs and movies after a tip-off to the police from his internet provider and given a suspended prison term last October.
Within just two months, the 39-year-old started up another chilling collection of shocking images involving child abuse and people having sex with
Hutchinson pleaded guilty to making and possessing 40 movies and 37 still images of child abuse, many of which being in the most serious category.
He also admitted possessing 25 movies and images of extreme pornography involving animals and an unrelated charge of carrying a knife in Sunderland city centre.
Judge Tim Gittins sentenced him to two years behind bars and told him: “It cannot be said enough, the fact that these are images available on parts of the internet does not mean it is not an abuse by you of those children to download them and use them for your sexual gratification.”
The judge said the fact Hutchinson had started a new collection, which he stored on micro SD cards, within two months of his last sentence showed a “blatant disregard” for the last court order.
Huthinson, of Tatham Street, Sunderland, has been assessed by the probation service as posing a “high risk of serious harm to young children by the commission of this sort of offence again”.
The court heard the micro SD cards were found when Hutchinson was arrested and searched for an unrelated matter in March.
Prosecutor Mark Guiliani told the court: “During the search the defendant put his hand in his trouser pocket and broke a micro SD card.
“Because it was damaged it was not possible to carry out an examination of it.”
The court heard four more cards were recovered from him which contained the illegal images.
Hutchinson is already on the Sex Offenders Register and the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Pervert spared jail for ‘depraved’ child abuse images was caught with another sick haul
A pervert spared jail for a ‘depraved’ haul of indecent images of children is now behind bars after being caught with another sickening collection.
Christopher Hutchinson walked free last October after being caught with pictures and video of child abuse.
But within weeks he was back at it again, downloading some of the most serious type of indecent images and movies.
The 39-year-old is now remanded in custody and appeared at Newcastle Crown Court on a video-link to HMP Durham.
He pleaded guilty to six offences of making indecent photographs of a child, one of possessing prohibited images of children and possessing extreme pornography, involving animals.
The offences happened between January and March this year.
Judge Stephen Earl said Hutchinson, who will be sentenced next month, must be remanded in custody as there is a “substantial risk of further offending” if released on bail.
Judge Earl told him: “You are already subject to a suspended sentence for very similar offending.”
On the last occasion, Hutchinson, of Tatham Street, Sunderland, was caught with 174 photographs and movies after a tip-off to the police from his internet provider and was given a suspended prison term last October.
At that hearing, Judge Tim Gittins said Hutchinson’s collection contained ‘depraved sexual images’ which had been downloaded from the internet but not shared or shown to anyone else.
Judge Gittins said to him at the time: “I have to balance the need to punish you with the public interest in seeking to deter you from this sort of behaviour in future.”
Hutchinson was put on the sex offenders register and subject to a sexual harm prevention order as a result of his offending last year.
Pervert spared jail over ‘depraved’ child abuse images
A pervert who was caught with a “depraved” collection of images of children being abused has been spared jail.
Christopher Hutchinson was caught with 174 photographs and movies on his computer and two mobile phones when police raided his home.
Newcastle Crown Court heard the authorities had been tipped off by his internet provider about the type of images being downloaded.
The 38-year-old, of Bayswater Avenue, Sunderland, admitted making and possessing indecent photographs of children.
The raid took place on August 28.
Judge Tim Gittins said the pictures were “depraved sexual images” which had been downloaded from the internet but not shared or shown to anyone else.
The judge told Hutchinson: “I have to balance the need to punish you with the public interest in seeking to deter you from this sort of behaviour in future.”
Hutchinson was sentenced to 11 months imprisonment, suspended for two years, with supervision, 10 year sex offender registration and a 10 year sexual harm prevention order.
