June 2016: Tony Newsome is now living in Aby, Lincolnshire
Immingham man downloaded ‘lewd, disgusting and vile’ images of children
Police found “lewd, disgusting and vile” images of children that a man had downloaded from the internet over a three-year period
Antony Newsome, 50, of Immingham, admitted making 157 indecent photographs and 92 movies of children between June 2009 and November last year and possessing extreme pornography, involving sex between a person and a dog, on January 2 this year.
Judge David Tremberg told the court that Newsome “developed a preoccupation” with watching sexual images of children, including two at the most serious level and 68 at the second most serious level.
“You were indifferent to the suffering and risk of serious sexual harm being caused to those children you watched in lewd, disgusting and vile material,” said Judge Tremberg.
“You should think on about the harm, possibly lasting harm, that will have been caused to those children for your sexual pleasure.”
Newsome was given a three-year supervision order, including a sex offenders’ treatment programme, and a five-year sexual offences prevention order, restricting his internet use. He must register as a sex offender for five years.
