Stafford lollipop man abused girls
Lollipop man Alan Saunders has been jailed for five-and-a-half years after he sexually abused two children.
The 42-year-old pleaded guilty to:
Four charges of sexual activity with a child
Three charges of assaulting a child by penetration
One charge of attempted assault of a child by penetration
Two charges of sexual assault
Stafford Crown Court yesterday heard Saunders had regular sexual intercourse with the first victim when she was aged under 16
Prosecutor Peter Cooper said the schoolgirl became pregnant and had an abortion when she was 16.
The court heard the other victim was much younger, and was five years old when Saunders began abusing her
Recorder Nirmal Shant QC told Saunders he was a dangerous offender.
He will only be released after five-and-a-half years when he is no longer considered a threat.
He was made the subject of an indefinite sexual offences prevention order and will be on the sex offenders’ register for life.
