Cunning pervert befriended boys
A “CUNNING and devious” paedophile who befriended boys in breach of a court order, sexually assaulting one of them, has been jailed for four years.
Andrew Nunn was the subject of a Sexual Offences Prevention Order banning him from contact with youngsters Bristol Crown Court heard.
He breached it by associating with some lads and went on to touch one indecently and assault him.
Nunn, 32, formerly of Weston-super-Mare but now living in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire, denied wrongdoing. But after a trial in February he was found guilty of seven breaches of the Sexual Offences Prevention Order, sexual assault and common assault.
Judge Martin Picton told him: “The breaches of the Sexual Offences Prevention Order were in my view deliberate and persistent.
“You wanted to offend sexually against children, and that you achieved. The sexual touching of (the boy) in the course of supposed horse play was simply a guise to achieve your aim of sexually offending. You are a cunning and devious paedophile and given the chance you will offend against children in future.”
The judge gave Nunn, who the court heard has learning difficulties, a new Sexual Offences Prevention Order designed to keep him away from children indefinitely, after a report identified him as representing a high risk of harm to children and a high risk of re-offending.
He was also ordered to sign as a sex offender indefinitely.
Man touched girl, 10, on leg
A MAN of 28 who touched a 10-year-old girl on her leg under her clothes has been ordered to sign on as a sex offender for five years.
Andrew Nunn, formerly of Hanstone Road, Walshes estate, Stourport and now living in Weston -super-Mare, pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to five offences of sexual activity with a child.
Nicholas Cartwright, prosecuting, said that the offences happened when the girl was asleep at a relative’s house. Nunn did not persist in his touching.
Judge John Cavell made a two-year community order and a 10-year sexual offences prevention order.
