Paedophile is jailed indefinitely

A “dangerous” paedophile has been jailed indefinitely after manipulating two 14-year-old girls before having a sexual relationship with them.

Stuart Johnson, 43, of Badgers Bank Road, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, was given the new type of sentence which is similar to a life sentence.

Coventry Crown Court heard that he married one of his victims.

He was found guilty in June of eight counts of under age sex and one of meeting a child for grooming.

One of the girls became pregnant and went on to marry him, giving birth just two weeks after her 16th birthday, the court was told.

Sinister relationship

Johnson used flattery to ensure the teenagers, who were both having problems at home, became “infatuated” with him, the hearing was told.

His offences came to light in June 2005 when the parents of his second victim called the police.

At a trial in June he was also found guilty of supplying cannabis to the girls and had earlier admitted an offence of blackmail and perverting the course of justice.

Sentencing him, Judge Peter Ross described his relationships with the girls as “appalling” and “sinister”.

He has been put on the Sex Offenders’ Register and is banned from being alone in the company of children under the age of 16.
